WARREN, Ind. (WPTA) - One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Huntington County overnight Friday.
According to the Huntington County Coroner’s Office, authorities were dispatched to the 10700 block of South Wayne Road around 1:15 a.m. Saturday.
When authorities arrived on the scene, they say they found a truck on its side and a person partially pinned under it.
Life-saving measures were performed, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation indicates the truck was driving southbound on South Warren Road at a high speed when it exited the east side of the road, striking a mailbox, overcorrecting, traveling sideways for approximately 1000 feet, overturning, striking trees, and ejecting the driver.
