WEATHER STORY: Lake enhanced snow is when a low gets ahold of Lake Superior moisture and dumps it on the North Shore as snow. Lake effect snow comes when northerly winds pick up lake moisture and deposit snow on the South Shore. This weekend, the wind will be north 10-20 mph. The result will be 4-8″ of snow for the Snow Belt while the rest of us get flurries. Winter Weather Advisory will cover the South Shore from Saturday night to Sunday morning. Normals - lows 23-28, highs 36-41.

WEEKEND FORECAST AT A GLANCE: Minnesota - flurries with lows in the mid teens, highs in the low 30’s, wind N 10-20. Wisconsin - 50% snow chance, lows in low teens, highs in mid 30’s, wind NNW 10-20. Upper Michigan - 70% snow chance, lows in upper teens, highs in low 30’s, wind N 10-20.
