Four people in their teens have been charged with manslaughter after the death of a 33-year-old man who was assaulted in northeastern Manitoba on Monday, RCMP say.
The victim was seriously injured outside a home in Manto Sipi Cree Nation on Monday night.
He was taken to the nursing station and later flown to Winnipeg.
Later that day, a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on charges of aggravated assault.
On Wednesday, the 33-year-old victim died from his injuries. The 19-year-old and 17-year-old were were re-arrested on Thursday and charged with manslaughter, God's Lake Narrows RCMP said in a Saturday news release.
That day, two other boys — a 15-year-old and another 17-year-old — were also arrested and charged with manslaughter.
