IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - A 22-year-old Iowa City man has been arrested after reports of a shooting in Iowa City Friday around 1:30 p.m.

Iowa City police were called to the 900 block of East Burlington Street Friday after people reported hearing gunshots. Reports indicated someone had possibly been shot in the chest.

Officers found evidence that a gun had been shot when they arrived on scene.

An investigation found no one had been hit by the gunshot.

Police announced Saturday morning 22-year-old Xzavier Herman of Iowa City was arrested in connection with the shooting.

Herman is charged with the following:

Felon in Possession of a Firearm - Second Offense

Going Armed with Intent

Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon

Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon

Use of a Dangerous Weap
