A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 12:27 p.m. valid from Sunday 1 a.m. until Monday 7 a.m. for Jefferson and Lewis counties.
The weather service describes, "Mixed precipitation expected northern Lewis and Jefferson counties. Ice accumulations around one tenth of an inch, with greatest ice accumulation expected across northern Jefferson County. Total snow accumulations up to 2 inches."
"Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions," says the weather service. "Be prepared for slippery roads.
