LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAYS continue through Monday as another potent cold front brings cold temperatures and the first snow showers of the season by early next week.

This evening will stay quiet as we see mostly cloudy skies. Overnight, scattered showers show up in our area as we see lows in the mid to upper 40s.

Cloudy skies will be with us to start Sunday with an isolated rain shower. Highs will be first thing in the morning as temperatures start in the mid to upper 40s, with a few places even in the low 50s. By the afternoon, temperatures will have fallen into the low to mid-40s as scattered rain showers will be around. It will be a windy day as well with winds gusting 25-30 mph.
