DENVER (KDVR) -- The Denver Police Department will be conducting a one-month "targeted enforcement" period for expired vehicle registration and expired temporary license plate violations starting on Nov. 15.
DPD said Friday that it will conduct the enforcement period "in response to community concerns about these types of violations."
The enforcement period will be its fifth on expired registrations since July 2024, according to DPD, which said officers issued citations for 656 vehicle registration violations during a similar one-month enforcement period from mid-April to mid-May.
"DPD encourages vehicle owners to obtain permanent license plates or renew their vehicle registration as required by law," the agency said in a news release.
