A man was arrested on a murder charge Saturday after a fatal shooting at a Burger King in Little Rock, police said.
Derek Kennedy, 31, faces a first-degree murder charge in the killing of William Pritchard, 30, police said in a social media post.
Police responded at 5:32 a.m. Saturday to the shooting at the restaurant at 4015 W. Markham St., near the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and found Pritchard unresponsive, the post says. Despite medical treatment, Pritchard died at the scene, the post says.
Initially the death appeared to be a suicide, but detectives later determined it to be a homicide, the post says.
Kennedy was being held Saturday at the Pulaski County jail, according to online records.
