WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KTRE) - Former Diboll Lumberjack Zach Phipps had a season-high in receiving yards and hauled in three touchdowns in West Texas A&M’s 56-42 win over Midwestern State on Saturday.

The redshirt-sophomore now has eight touchdowns on the year.

Phipps caught five of his six targets for 132 yards and three touchdowns. Phipps put the Buffaloes on the board with a 20-yard touchdown catch to cap off an 11 play, 75-yard drive and tie the game at 7. In the second quarter, Phipps hauled in a 13-yard touchdown to put West Texas up 28-21. Phipps caught his third touchdown in the third quarter off a 35-yard strike from RJ Martinez. Montrel Hatten (Carthage) caught one pass for 26 yards.

West Texas A&M (6-4, 6-2) wraps up the regular season at home against Angelo State on Nov. 15.
