No. 20 Iowa football put itself in great position to upset No. 6 Oregon late in the fourth quarter.
After struggling all game to generate passing offense through the air, Hawkeyes quarterback Mark Gronowski captained a 12-play, 93-yard drive to give his team a 16-15 lead with 1:51 left in the fourth quarter.
He capped the drive with a 3-yard TD run on 4th-and-goal, and almost got some luck when his tipped pass on the two-point conversion was corralled by running back Kamari Moulton, but his toes fell just out of bounds in the back of the end zone.
The catalyst of the drive came on a 40-yard completion to tight end DJ Vonnahme when Iowa was backed up near its own goal line.
The Hawkeyes have a great chance to finish the game with a win in they get a stop on defense.
