BISHOP, Nev. (KOLO) - On Friday, Nov. 7, the Mono County Sheriff’s Office won 1st place in the team competition at the Annual Pigs and Pistols Tournament, according to an agency Facebook post.
Active and retired peace officers from the Inyo Sheriff’s Office, Bishop Police, California Highway Patrol Bishop, Inyo District Attorney’s Office, and Bureau of Land Management participated in the shooting competition.
“We are proud to share that the Mono County Sheriff’s Office took home 1st place this year in the team competition!” the post said. “Deputy Guntert, Deputy Hughes, and Correctional Deputy Gottfried represented MCSO with great skill.”
In Top Shooter, Deputy Custer took 1st place, Deputy Hughes 2nd, and Deputy Gunturt 4th.
