Adonai Mitchell was reportedly the final piece of the Colts ' trade or two-time All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner.

But if he wasn't, he still wouldn't be a Colt, according to the NFL Network.

A story on nfl.com says the Colts would have dealt Mitchell, a 2024 second-rounder, to the Browns for a late-round pick if the Gardner trade hadn't happened:
