Josh Allen has a reputation as one of the NFL’s ultimate good guys, but even he isn’t immune from the league’s strict rulebook.
Per ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg, the NFL has fined both Josh Allen and teammate Elijah Moore were each fined for a “violent gesture” during a touchdown celebration in Sunday’s 28-21 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Allen and Moore each committed a “finger gun” celebration after the former’s rushing touchdown in the third quarter. Allen was fined $14,491, while Moore was issued a $13,888 fine.

In August, the NFL sent a warning to teams that they were cracking down on unsportsmanlike acts, such as the “throat slash” and “nose wipe” gestures. So Allen and Moore can’t say they weren’t given a notice ahead of time.
