Riverhounds SC is showing a flair for the dramatic.

And it has moved the Heart Attack Hounds to within one win of the USL Championship finals.

Beto Ydrach slipped a shot off the fingertips of Detroit City FC goalkeeper Carlos Saldana and into the back of the net for the clinching tally in penalties as the Riverhounds pulled out a 0-0 (4-3) victory against Le Rouge in front of a standing-room-only sellout of 6,220 at Highmark Stadium.

“It was just about preparation again,” Ydrach said. “We work on penalty kicks before these types games when we know it might go to penalties, so I was ready to go and the moment just happened to come to me.”
