NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — Arrest warrants from New Britain police give new insight into the death of Jaqueline “Mimi” Torres-Garcia.
The 11-year-old girl's decayed body was found in a plastic bin on an abandoned New Britain property back in October.
Farmington police had already had arrest warrants released into the arrests of Karla Garcia, her boyfriend - Jonatan Nanita - and her sister - Jackelyn Garcia - in the death of Karla’s daughter.
This new warrant comes from New Britain police and describes what led up to the arrest of Nanita. FOX61 has asked New Britain police for the body camera footage of the arrest and the warrants for the Garcia sisters, but the department said it would not be able to get those over until Monday.
