MARIETTA — Another year, another Ohio Athletic Conference championship for the Mount Union football team .
The Purple Raiders won their ninth straight conference title and 36th overall on Saturday, Nov. 8 when they beat Marietta 30-19.
Mount Union (9-0, 7-0) earned the OAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III playoffs. It will be their 36th postseason appearance, the most in Division III history.
Davion Grant caught a season-high nine passes for 170 yards to help lead Mount Union's offense. His second touchdown, a 37-yard catch, closed out the scoring.
Quarterback Mikey Maloney finished 20-for-31 for 268 yards with three TDs. It was Maloney's third straight game with three TD passes. He also ran for a score.
