LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

The Louisville Cardinals lost to the California Golden Bears in an overtime thriller Saturday night.

UofL lost 29-26 at L&N Stadium in Louisville.

In the first-ever meeting between the two teams, Louisville came out strong.

In the first quarter, the Cards had a solid first drive.

Duke Watson, who is back fully healthy, finished off the drive to bring the Cards 7-0.

Later on, Cal quarterback Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele aired it out to Landon Morris to bring the score 7-7.

Both teams went on to trade field goals before Cal's Kendrick Raphael spun his way into the endzone for a touchdown, bringing the score to 17-13 at the half.

Louisville quarterback Miller Moss tied things up 20-20 in the third quarter when he ran 1 yard into the endzone for a touchdown.
