When Chantz Blackmon got on his lawnmower with his one-year-old son a couple of years back, he had an idea that would seem nearly impossible to many.

The University of Alabama alum and his son were cutting the grass in what he called the “neglected back yard.” He had an idea to try and cut the Alabama “A” logo into the grass. He was successful and was proud to show friends who came by to visit.

The first time Blackmon cut the logo, it turned out so well that he decided to continue mowing it into the yard.

He said the logo has brought plenty of smiles and laughs to his loved ones.

However, after a recent Facebook post, Blackmon is receiving a lot more attention.

“It’s in our backyard, so you can’t see it when driving by,” Blackmon told 1819 News.
