Maine extended its winning streak to six games with a 35-7 victory over Hampton at Armstrong Stadium. The Black Bears improved to 6-4 overall and 5-1 in Coastal Athletic Association play, while the Pirates fell to 2-8 and 0-6.

The afternoon started poorly for Hampton when a penalty on the opening kickoff set up favorable field position for Maine. After a quick three-and-out and a short punt, the Black Bears began their first drive at the Hampton 32-yard line. Maine capitalized when Cater Peevey connected with Ty’ee Stephens for a 21-yard touchdown. Following another three-and-out by Hampton, Scott Woods returned a punt 48 yards to the 12-yard line, setting up a one-yard touchdown run by Rashawn Marshall to make it 14-0.
