EUGENE, Ore. - A Eugene-based immigration lawyer is shedding light on the newfound difficulties of accessing detainees in the U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement offices in Eugene.
Katrina Kilgren has been an immigration attorney in Eugene for nearly 16 years. Along with local leaders, politicians, advocates and community members, she was alarmed by the 12 ICE arrests made across Lane County on the morning of November 5th.
"Multiple community members were taken in the darkness of mourning as they were preparing to go to work in the community. You know They left children afraid. They left family members really frightened. And those family members then didn't go on to school.
