The Delaware Supreme Court is holding a special meeting Nov. 10 to hear arguments that will affect how much school property tax people in New Castle County will owe this year.

The arguments pertain to the legality of lawmakers' effort to cut residential taxpayers a break by allowing school districts in New Castle County to charge nonresidential property owners more this year. Whether or not the high court upholds that effort will affect every tax bill in the county as lawmakers are poised to push the due date for those bills by a month to Dec. 31.
