Delaware State Police have released the names of the two people killed in Friday’s five-vehicle crash on Coastal Highway.
The victims were 62-year-old Charlene Broccolo and 64-year-old Albert Broccolo, both of Bel Air, Maryland police said.
The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on southbound Coastal Highway, just south of Hudson Road on Nov. 7. According to investigators, a Peterbilt dump truck failed to slow for traffic and hit the rear of a Ford Edge and causing a chain-reaction collision involving a Nissan Altima, a BMW X2 and a BMW 135i.
Charlene Broccolo, who was driving the Ford, was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died from her injuries. Albert Broccolo, her passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene.
