A Freeze Watch has been issued for Monday night and early Tuesday morning for areas that have yet to see a hard freeze this season, including the Charlotte metro.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Ashe, Watauga, and Avery counties from 7 pm Sunday to 7 am Tuesday due to measurable snowfall, which could lead to slick driving conditions.

We are dealing with patchy dense fog this morning, especially in areas where it rained last evening and overnight.

A mild start this morning, with temperatures in the 50s and low 60s. Expect another warmer afternoon today as well, high temperatures will climb into the low to mid 70s today under a mixture of sun and clouds. Mountains will be in the 50s and lower 60s.
