Birmingham bin collection dates for the Christmas and New Year period have been announced despite no end in sight to the all-out bin strike.

Birmingham City Council's agency refuse staff will collect rubbish over the festive season and the authority has revealed the exact dates for when residents' household rubbish will be lugged away.

Eight months have passed since the city's bin workers walked out indefinitely.
