A rapper has been arrested on drug and weapon charges hours after getting his first Grammy nomination.

Rod Wave was arrested Friday in Atlanta, according to Fulton County Jail records obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution . Wave is charged with possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit a felony, reckless driving and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Wave was released Saturday on a bond of $8,000, according to TMZ . His lawyers said the rapper “was unjustly profiled and unlawfully arrested in Atlanta.”
