The Buffalo Bills are down two key cornerbacks for Sunday’s matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
Christian Benford and Taron Johnson are both on the Bills’ inactive list.
Benford suffered a groin injury on Wednesday. The Bills’ No. 1 cornerback would not participate in Thursday’s practice, but returned on Friday in a limited capacity. Without Benford, Buffalo will count on rookie Max Hairston and veteran Tre’Davious White on the outside. Cam Lewis and Ja’Marcus Ingram, meanwhile, will take on the nickel cornerback snaps of Johnson.
The cornerbacks’ main task today will be slowing down Jaylen Waddle, a receiver Buffalo attempted to acquire at the NFL trade deadline.
Buffalo is missing contributors at all three levels for today’s matchup.
The Bills ruled out defensive end A.J. Epenes
