Saturday's football game started off badly and then got worse for Nevada, as Utah State took a 51-14 win over the Wolf Pack in Logan, Utah.

Nevada fell to 1-8 overall and 0-5 in the Mountain West with the loss.

It was Nevada's 16th straight league loss, the longest active streak in the FBS. The Wolf Pack hasn’t won a Mountain West game in more than two years.

The Aggies are the first Wolf Pack opponent to surpass the 50-point mark since USC scored 66 on Sept. 2, 2023 (66-14).

Nevada coach Jeff Choate said Saturday's game quickly turned into an avalanche.

The Aggies led 24-0 after the first quarter and 41-0 at halftime.

Nevada had just one first down in the first half and quarterback Carter Jones had two interceptions and minus-1 passing yard.
