PHOENIX — A homeowner shot a suspect who forced his way into the person's home on Sunday morning, according to authorities.

The Phoenix Police Department said the incident happened at 9 a.m. at a home on 40th Street and Thunderbird Road.

The suspect was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
