Matthew Stafford joined a very small list that contains some of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history on Sunday.

Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams clashed with the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, and the veteran signal caller needed just two touchdown passes to log his 400th career touchdown pass in the league. And it didn't take long for Stafford to achieve that milestone.

With the Rams already up 14-0 early in the second quarter and facing 2nd & Goal at the 49ers' 4-yard-line, Stafford scrambled out of the pocket and lobbed a pass over the defense to tight end Davis Allen in the back right corner of the end zone to etch his name on a page of the NFL history books which only eight other names are currently on.

With the achievement, Stafford joins elite company – only Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre, Philip Rivers, Dan Marino, and Ben Roethlisberger have also thrown 400 touchdown passes over the course of their NFL careers. Stafford also wasn't done with his big performance. As of the time this article was published, Stafford had completed 19-of-30 passes for 196 yards and three touchdowns, with one quarter of action left to play.
