As we wrap up the weekend and head into the new week, a powerful cold front is moving through the region this evening that will bring dramatically colder temperatures and the first snow of the season to parts of the Carolinas.

Highs for Monday and Tuesday will likely not make it out of the 40s, along with a hard freeze Tuesday morning. The middle of the week will bring milder temperatures back into the Carolinas.

As for tonight and your Monday, as the cold front sweeps through, expect blustery winds to move in the overnight hours, along with rapidly falling temperatures and snow showers up in the mountains.
