The Norfolk State women’s basketball team controlled the game from start to finish, defeating Virginia State 77–53 on Sunday afternoon at Echols Hall. The victory moved the Spartans to 2–1 on the season, while the game served as an exhibition for the Trojans.

Graduate guard Jasha Clinton led Norfolk State with 21 points, six steals, and a strong defensive presence. Anjanae Richardson added 13 points and five steals, while Da’Brya Clark finished with 11 points. Carmen Kweti led the team with eight rebounds, and LeAire Nicks added seven.
