Indio police arrested a man on Saturday for both driving under the influence and hit-and-run in a collision between a car and two utility poles.

Officers responded to the collision around 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8 at the northwest corner of Doctor Carreon Boulevard and Calhoun Street. A witness provided Indio police dispatch live updates on where the driver responsible for the collision was headed, the Indio Police Department said.
