The man arrested over a fatal crash in outback has been confirmed by police as the father of the child who died.
Police allege a white 2006 Toyota LandCruiser was rammed by a black 2011 Nissan Maxima on Doomadgee Rd in the rural Far North Queensland town of Doomadgee, about a two-hour drive from the Northern Territory border, on Friday morning.

The crash caused the LandCruiser to roll, killing a 30-year-old woman and 10-year-old girl.
Three other young children in the car — a one-year-old boy, a three-year-old girl and a four-year-old boy — were injured.
The three-year-old remains in a critical condition at Townsville Hospital.
