An Audi driver tried to 'outrun firearms officers' in a Warwickshire town -but was caught by a dog unit. The driver was clocked in the earlier hours of this morning, Monday, November 10.
Officers from Warwickshire Police's Operational Patrol Unit (OPU) were involved in the operation to stop the car and catch the driver - who, after a police chase, fled the scene. But, after trying to 'outrun' firearms officers, the suspect was caught with the help of the dog unit.
The driver, who was not identified, was arrested and will this morning face questioning over suspected dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and possession of cannabis following a search of the car.
