New Delhi: A man allegedly shot himself dead at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on Monday, prompting police to cordon off the area and begin an investigation into the incident, officials said.

According to Delhi Police, the man’s identity has not yet been confirmed. The body has been taken into custody and will be sent for post-mortem after legal formalities are completed. ADVERTISEMENT

A senior officer at the scene said, “We received information about a man shooting himself at Jantar Mantar. Police personnel rushed to the spot immediately. He is yet to be identified.”
