PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Three people were taken to the hospital after a crash overnight in west Phoenix.
First responders were called to the crash near 35th Avenue and Van Buren Street around 3:30 a.m. on Monday. They found one vehicle that caught fire at the scene.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, and all three occupants of the vehicle were able to get out. Two men and a woman were hospitalized with critical injuries.
The cause of this crash is still under investigation.
The area was closed as crews cleaned up the crash scene, but the full closure has since been lifted. Van Buren remains restricted.
