NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An investigation is underway after a shooting was reported outside the Davidson County Criminal Court building in downtown Nashville Monday morning.

Officers were called to the Justice A A. Birch Building on 2nd Avenue North around 8:30 a.m.

According to a spokesperson for the court, a woman was grazed by a bullet during an argument in the roundabout area. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The shooter fled the area in a vehicle. No suspect description was immediately released.

The courthouse was not placed on lockdown. Investigators are interviewing witnesses to the shooting.
