NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A woman was grazed by a bullet during an apparent road rage shooting outside the Metro Nashville courthouse on Monday morning, prompting an intense search for the gunman who fled the scene.
The shooting happened around 8:40 a.m. when the woman’s car was parked in the loading zone outside the Justice A A. Birch Building on 2nd Avenue North. A line of cars started honking at her, and it eventually escalated to gunfire.
Metro police said the shots were fired from a Dodge Durango SUV that was stuck in traffic. The woman got out of her car and started arguing with the person in the SUV, who then pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots.
