After nearly 100 flights were canceled at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Sunday, cancellations are already piling up on Monday and Tuesday.
As of 9 a.m. on Monday, there were 24 outbound and 36 inbound flights canceled at MSP. While most cancellations are related to the federal government shutdown that has resulted in the Federal Aviation Administration mandating a reduction in flights to combat a shortage of air traffic controllersm, there's also a nasty winter storm slamming airports in Chicago.
MSP has already has 20 departures and 18 arrival flights listed as canceled on Tuesday, per FlightAware, while the list of cancellations on Wednesday has already reached 23.
The numbers of cancellations on both days are likely to rise as Monday progresses.
