Attorneys representing a Baldwin County man who claims the federal government has violated his 4th Amendment rights asked a judge not to pause a lawsuit challenging Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids in southern Alabama.

On Friday, Nov. 7, Institute for Justice attorneys representing Leo Venegas told U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Beaverstock, a 2017 Donald Trump appointee, the lawsuit challenging whether ICE agents violated Venegas and others’ 4th Amendment rights should not be paused because of the ongoing federal government shutdown.
