SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Spartanburg Police Department responded to reports of a suspicious person on Converse University’s campus overnight.

Officers said they were contacted by campus police early Monday morning after a man entered a dorm building through a laundry room window.

A victim told officers that she woke up around 6 a.m. to a man standing at her bed.

“She yelled at the male and asked him what he was doing but the male gave no response,” the police report states.

Campus police took the man, Dante Ludy, into custody

According to the Spartanburg County Detention Center, he is charged with trespassing in an enclosed space and third-degree assault and battery.
