Gujarat Police on Monday evening went into a precautionary alert mode, activating Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs) to heighten security measures in light of the explosion at Red Fort in Delhi that killed at least ten people and left several others injured.
Local police officials had already begun taking precautionary steps earlier in the day after a stockpile of Ammonium Nitrate, an AK-47 rifle and several timers used for explosives were recovered from a doctor’s home in Faridabad, Haryana. However, a message from the state police control after the Delhi blast on Monday evening ensured all security protocols were activated across Gujarat.
