AUSTIN, Texas — Antone’s Nightclub will keep its Downtown Austin home for at least another 50 years.
The popular blues nightclub announced on Monday that it has extended its lease at 305 E. Fifth St. through a deal supported by a grant from Rally Austin and the building’s owner.
The funding will help Antone’s pursue a longtime goal of opening “Antone’s World Famous Museum of the Blues” in 2027 and preserve its “Home of the Blues” legacy as it approaches its 100th anniversary.
To sustain Austin’s music scene for the decades ahead, Antone’s has also launched a “Forever Fund,” allowing supporters to donate and have their names engraved on a bronze wall in the club’s foyer.
