The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced Monday the signing of right-handed relief pitcher James Colyer for the 2026 season.
Colyer, a native of Hayward, California, made his professional debut in 2025 with the Oakland Ballers of the Pioneer League. He appeared in 36 games, posting a 3-0 record with a 3.77 earned run average and earning two saves for the league champions.
Before turning professional, Colyer played college baseball at California State University, East Bay, after transferring from Shorter University in Georgia. Over two college seasons, he appeared in 37 games, recording a 4-1 record and a 3.73 ERA.
