The debut of flag football at the 2028 Olympics could feature players from the CFL.

The league has decided to allow its players to play for their countries in Los Angeles, despite the fact the Summer Games will take place in the middle of the CFL season.

In a statement, CFL commissioner Stewart Johnson says the pros outweigh the cons, citing the “tremendous honour” of representing one’s country in a best-on-best competition.
