Jay Miller is the new general counsel for the Tennessee Administrative Office of the Courts.
In the role, Miller will lead Legal Service’s and Judicial Development division and serve as a member of the AOC’s executive leadership team, according to a press release.
“We are excited to welcome Jay to our team,” said AOC Director Michelle Long. “His experience in state government and proven track record providing trusted advice on a variety of complex legal issues makes him an asset to the judiciary.”
Miller comes to the position after serving for over a decade at the Tennessee Department of Agriculture (TDA), where he worked as general counsel for policy formation, public records compliance, legislative analysis, licensing and enforcement and human resources.
