WHITE OAK TWP., Mich. (WILX) - A Battle Creek man was arrested on Sunday after assaulting a woman in the back seat of a patrol car, officials say.
On Sunday, Nov. 9 at 1 a.m., Ingham County Sheriff’s deputies were sent to the area of Proctor and Carter in White Oak Township for a single-car rollover crash.
Deptuies say All three people inside the car were unhurt. Due to the cold weather, deputies let the crash victims take shelter in the back seat of a patrol car.
One of the occupants, a 31-year-old Battle Creek man named Thomas Bergstresser, was let out of the car to find his cell phone.
After searching for some time, he returned to the patrol car, frustrated that he couldn’t find his phone.
