On Monday, Nov. 10 Denver Broncos linebacker Alex Singleton revealed he underwent surgery late last week to remove a tumor after testing positive for testicular cancer.

The cancer diagnosis came as a result of the NFL 's Drug Testing program that showed he had elevated hCG levels. Singleton, who leads the Broncos and sits fifth in the NFL in tackles so far this season, later underwent further testing which determined signs of testicular cancer.

“It’s been a whirlwind,'' Singleton said. "I don’t necessarily even know if I’ve fully have coped with everything that’s gone on. I found out Monday afternoon what it fully was and then I was going to have surgery Friday.
