ROCKDALE, Texas (KBTX) - The Franklin Lions secured an outright district title with a 63-18 victory over Rockdale.

Why did Franklin win? The Lions stuck to their bread and butter by dominating the trenches and controlling both lines of scrimmage.

Standout performance: Senior quarterback Walker Anderson ran Franklin’s Slot-T offense exceptionally. His ability to pass down the field and gain yards with his legs kept the Rockdale defense off balance throughout the night.

What’s next? Franklin will battle Halletsville in the 3A DI Bi-District round. Rockdale’s season comes to an end. The Tigers finish up 4-6 (1-4) on the year.
