MCDONALD, Ohio - A significant tech investment may soon be in the works for the Village of McDonald.

A company is considering plans to build a new billion-dollar data center at the former McDonald Steel facility. However, many details are still under wraps at this time.

A section of land within the McDonald Industrial Park could become the location for the new data center once Applied Partners completes the cleanup of the site.

"We [are] responsible for taking the buildings down and cleaning up any contamination from the original McDonald Steel factory that was here, which will include what was on the other side of the property that used to be the U.S. Steel property," Doug Soper, Vice President of Applied Partners told 21 News.
